Institutional fundraiser and consultant for Swiss organizations
I work as an institutional fundraiser and consultant for Swiss organizations that rely primarily on private donations. My work includes building fundraising capacity from private foundations and public funders, writing funding dossiers, developing budgets and reporting frameworks, and mapping and coordinating project partners.
Who I work with
Medium-to-large Swiss organizations in the cultural and social sector, with annual budgets in the six-to-seven figure range and an established professional governance. Typically nationally or cantonally active organizations whose primary support comes from private donations — foundations and institutional funders.
I work in Italian and English.
Background
I have been working in the cultural and social sector since 2008.
2008–2013 — Cinema Gloria, Como. Operational coordination of an independent cultural cinema run by Associazione Culturale Arci Xanadù. Programming, event organization and early experience in fundraising and sponsorship outreach to support the venue’s sustainability.
2013–2024 — Akra Multimedia Studios, Chiasso. Multimedia studio I co-founded. Production of documentaries, podcasts and editorial content for cultural institutions, nonprofit organizations and commercial clients. The studio’s first work, CreatiVita (2013) — a documentary on art therapy programmes in nursing homes in the Como area, produced with the nonprofit Un Sorriso in Più and featuring Professor Sergio Tramma of the University of Milan-Bicocca — won the Best Work in Social Communication award at the Catania Film Festival 2014.
From 2021 — Radio Gwendalyn, Chiasso. Lead fundraiser and project developer for the Italian-language community radio station operating under federal mandate since 2025. Institutional fundraising has been my primary activity from this point onward.
In parallel, since 2020 I have worked as an external fundraising consultant for cultural associations in Ticino and Lombardy.
Credibility
Recent results. Around CHF 200,000 raised in 2025 to support the operations and projects of Radio Gwendalyn, on an initial investment of CHF 25,000 — an 8x return verified over twelve months. Dossiers written for foundations and institutional funders including Migros Kulturprozent, Pro Helvetia, Drosos, Ernst Göhner, GKB.
Specialist training. Course in Fundraising and Impact Measurement at CENPRO, Villa Negroni, Vezia (2026). Participation in the CENPRO Change Makers Day, Villa Negroni, Vezia, 8 May 2026. Course in Social Impact and Fundraising at Impact Hub Ticino, Lugano (2023). Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communication, University of Milan (2007).
Professional network. I regularly attend events at CENPRO, the foundation working on fundraising education and culture in Italian-speaking Switzerland.
Location and engagement
I work in Switzerland, with operational base at Akra Studios on Via Pioda 2 in Chiasso. I regularly travel between Ticino, Zurich, Geneva and Zug for meetings with clients and partners.
I work on a project-based consultancy, retainer or part-time employment basis, depending on the client’s needs.
