Projects
Four recent projects I’ve worked on as a fundraiser and consultant for Swiss organisations. For each: the context, the scope of the engagement, the outcome.
Gwenstival 2025
Client: Radio Gwendalyn (Chiasso) · Period: 2025 · Role: Lead fundraiser. Festival for the 20th anniversary of Radio Gwendalyn, a community radio station operating under a Swiss federal mandate since 2025. A programme of live music, talks and live radio production in Chiasso.
Fundraising strategy (a mix of private foundations, cantonal and municipal public funders, cultural partners), dossier writing, projected and final budgets, coordination of project partners, reporting to funders. Outcome: CHF 45,000 raised for the festival.
Ci vediamo dopo (2026)
Client: Radio Gwendalyn + Unitas · Period: 2026 · Role: Lead fundraiser. A radio series co-produced with Unitas — the association for blind and partially sighted people of Italian-speaking Switzerland — for its 80th anniversary. First-hand accounts, interviews and reportage on visual impairment, for a general audience. Launch press conference on 28 April 2026 in Lugano.
Building the project dossier and financial framework, mapping and approaching Swiss institutional foundations, coordinating with the partner Unitas, building the reporting plan. Outcome: over CHF 50,000 raised from Swiss private foundations and public bodies.
Wikimedia CH
Client: Wikimedia CH · Period: April – November 2026 · Role: Institutional fundraising consultant. A consulting mandate for Wikimedia CH, the Swiss chapter of the Wikimedia network, on dossiers aimed at foundations and institutional funders in Switzerland.
Developing dossiers for institutional funders, the project’s financial framework, the reporting approach. Outcome: mandate ongoing.
Mums Dance Party
Client: Associazione Culturale Lumina (Ticino) · Period: from April 2026 · Role: Fundraising consultant. A pilot project on women’s social connection and mental wellbeing, run by Associazione Culturale Lumina with institutional support from the City of Lugano. Pilot event planned for 10 October 2026 at Tutto/Niente in Lugano, from 3.30 to 6.30 pm. Potential extension to Mendrisio, Bellinzona and Locarno.
Fundraising strategy and funding mix, writing the project dossier, building the projected budget, prospect research and outreach to foundations and institutional funders, developing the partnership with Periparto Svizzera, finding the venue and operational coordination. Outcome: fundraising ongoing. Project budget: CHF 17,000.
