Fundraising consultant for Swiss nonprofits, associations and foundations
I help Swiss nonprofits secure funding from foundations, public institutions and grant programmes.
My work covers the entire fundraising cycle: identifying funding opportunities, developing projects, preparing grant applications, building budgets, coordinating partnerships and managing reporting requirements.
I work primarily with cultural and social organisations that want to build a more structured and sustainable approach to fundraising.
Who I work with
My clients are typically mid-sized and large Swiss nonprofits, associations and foundations with established governance structures and annual budgets ranging from several hundred thousand to several million Swiss francs.
Many operate at cantonal or national level and rely heavily on foundation grants, institutional funding and public support to deliver their activities.
I work in Italian, English and French.
Background
I have worked in the cultural and nonprofit sector since 2008.
2008–2013 | Cinema Gloria, Como. I coordinated operations for Cinema Gloria, an independent cultural cinema managed by Associazione Culturale Arci Xanadù. My responsibilities included programme coordination, event production and early fundraising and sponsorship activities to support the organisation’s long-term sustainability.
2013–2024 | Akra Multimedia Studios, Chiasso. I co-founded Akra Multimedia Studios, a multimedia production company specialising in documentaries, podcasts and editorial content for cultural institutions, nonprofits and commercial organisations. One of our earliest productions, CreatiVita (2013), a documentary exploring art therapy programmes in nursing homes in the Como area, received the Best Social Communication Award at the 2014 Catania Film Festival.
2022–2026 | Radio Gwendalyn. From 2022 to 2026 I led fundraising and project development activities for Radio Gwendalyn, the community radio station operating under a Swiss federal mandate since 2025. In 2025, employed in the dual role of fundraiser and coordinator, I led the station’s first financial year under the federal mandate: the budget grew from CHF 36,000 to over CHF 670,000 and closed with a surplus of around CHF 45,000.
Alongside this role, I have supported cultural and social organisations throughout Ticino as an independent fundraising consultant since 2020.
Selected achievements
Fundraising results. In 2025 I helped secure approximately CHF 200,000 for Radio Gwendalyn’s projects and operations, based on an initial investment of CHF 25,000.
Funding applications and fundraising projects have involved institutions and foundations including Migros Kulturprozent, Pro Helvetia, Drosos Foundation, Ernst Göhner Stiftung, FSRC, DECS and Corymbo Foundation.
